The Great Hall
The Great Hall has dramatic rich red and wood panelled walls dating from the medieval age, and is the heart of the Castle. It is a dramatic setting for the ceremony and is the perfect place for drinks before or after the wedding breakfast. There is plenty of room for your guests to mingle and it offers easy access to the Castle Front Lawn. Seats up to 100 guests.
The Galleried Library
The Library is a 40 foot high octagonal room overlooking the River Esk with breathtaking views towards the Lakeland fells. The walls are lined with over 6,000 books. Seats up to 50 guests.
The Drawing Room
With an ornate Italian plasterwork ceiling and large windows overlooking the front lawns, the Drawing Room seats up to 100 guests. Family portraits from the 16th century to the present day line the walls and a beautiful marble fireplace adds a feeling of opulence to any celebration.
The Family Dining Room
Also known as the Billiard Room is suitable for an intimate wedding ceremony. Seating up to 46 guests, the 18th century marquetry above the fireplace, wood panelled walls and a superb recessed plasterwork ceiling are complemented by a large bay window overlooking the Castle front lawn.
The Guard Room
The Guard Rooms has an intimate and romantic atmosphere for smaller ceremonies, with a barrel vaulted ceiling and magnificent Elizabethan fireplace, oak panelling and secret passage. It can be used for either the ceremony or post-ceremony drinks. There is a door leading straight onto the front lawn. Seats up to 30 guests.
The Castle Front Lawn is a perfect location for wedding photographs and in fine weather drinks may be served on the lawn too.
Muncaster Parish Church

The Great Hall, Drawing Room, The Dining Room, Family Dining Room, The Old Laundry can also be used for your wedding breakfast there also the option to have a marquee or tipi.
