With views of the mountains above and Coniston Water in the valley below, The Coppermines Mountain Cottages are perfect for a wedding or celebration and are licensed for civil ceremonies.

The Venue

Restored from the original Victorian sawmill, the venue features four warm and welcoming cottages which interlink to form one large house, sleeping up to 22 people. There’s four reception rooms, 10 en-suite bedrooms and even four outdoor hot tubs for your private use.

There is also a smaller cottage 500 yards away which would be the ideal cosy hideaway for you and your partner once the celebrations have ceased.

From your arrival the venue is exclusively yours and you have the freedom to decide how you wish your celebration to unfold. There are just a few rules we ask you to follow but there are no set timetables and your occasion can be as unique as desired.

The properties are traditional Lake District cottages and are therefore fairly compact, but all are charming with exposed beams, stone walls, log fires and contemporary oak and leather furniture throughout.
